In the context of an internal audit, an international company wishes to analyze and optimize their purchase process. The company has no suitable profiles in-house to manage and execute this project. The company calls on horsum to lead and perform the internal audit.


Together with a team of employees, horsum audited the entire purchase process. During the audit, horsum managed the project, provided the team with practical advice and guided them through the entire audit. This included determining the scope, identifying the risks and controls, testing the controls and writing the audit report.  In addition, the purchase processes were documented in clear process diagrams and the purchase process was tested against best practices.

Finally, horsum discussed all findings with the involved employees. Appropriate recommendations and action plans were created. As a result, the internal audit of the purchase process brought cost savings, greater efficiency and better risk management to the company.
